Forged Steel for Heavy Load Applications
Black forged steel parts are our solution for applications that require high strength and toughness. Forging differs from casting in a fundamental way. The forging process uses a press to shape hot metal. This action breaks up the cast structure and closes internal porosity. The result is a denser, stronger material. We produce black forged steel parts for shafts, gear blanks, high-pressure valve bodies, and construction machinery components. If your equipment sees heavy loads or impact forces, forged parts are a better choice than cast parts.

Common Materials and Dimensional Tolerances
Our common materials are 45# steel, 40Cr alloy steel, 42CrMo high-strength steel, and Q355B structural steel. We use hot forging as the primary process. The dimensional tolerance follows GB/T 15826 FG grade. For parts up to 200 millimeters, the tolerance is plus 0.8 to plus 1.2 millimeters. For parts from 200 to 500 millimeters, the tolerance is plus 1.2 to plus 2.0 millimeters. The forging ratio for important load-bearing parts is at least 3. This ratio ensures the internal structure is properly refined.

Mechanical Properties After Heat Treatment
We do heat treatment in our own car-bottom resistance furnace. For 42CrMo in the quenched and tempered condition, the tensile strength is at least 1080 MPa. The yield strength is at least 930 MPa. The elongation is at least 12 percent. The impact toughness Akv is at least 63 Joules. The Brinell hardness is 310 to 350. This combination of strength and toughness makes 42CrMo suitable for critical applications. We test these properties for every batch.
Surface and Internal Inspection
We perform MT magnetic particle inspection on all surfaces. Cracks and folds are not allowed. Grinding marks are limited to one-third of the finishing allowance, with a maximum depth of 1.5 millimeters. For internal inspection, we do UT Level 2 testing. Individual defects must be under 2 millimeters in equivalent size. Defects over 4 millimeters are not allowed. Defect clusters are also prohibited. We issue inspection reports for every important part.
